November may be the perfect fashion month. Hardcore winter has yet to set in, a season during which most of us in snowy climates must at some point abandon the fashionable in favour of bundled-up practicality. November is still fall, which means lots of snuggly layers, sweaters and jackets — all personal favourites. In the fashion magazines of the ’80s we see all of this in the November issues, and with an additional smattering of early holiday glamour tossed in for fun. Today, to mark the first week of November 2014, we take a look back at the November looks of the 1980s. And it’s hard not to notice how many of the looks are wearable today.

Yes, most of these looks would be wearable today, except for the fur.
The fur is faux, so I think you could still get something like that, too.
