Angry doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling right now. How Laurie could have said that about me I’ll never know.
I’m sitting in the little room, smoking, and listening to Elvis Costello and the Attractions in a way just to spite Laurie. Elvis Costello is a bit of a geek. Well, he is if you look at him. But maybe some people (i.e. Laurie) should listen more to his music and then see that he isn’t really a geek, but actually cool and that sometimes people can be a bit of both and that’s actually okay.
I’d rather she call me a geek like the total bitch that she obviously is and know I’m in the company of Elvis Costello than be a hypocrite who I know for a fact still sleeps every night with that ratty stuffed lamb from when she was a baby.
So what if I want to be a writer and said one time that I wanted to stay home to finish that story I was working on to submit to that contest than go and drink shitmix at her house before trying to get a ride downtown to the bar where Andrea’s brother works the door and lets us in?
Geek is about the worst thing you can call a person. It means you’re lame, a total loser. I should write a book about it, and get famous and have this big party that’s in all the magazines. And Elvis Costello could play.
